Prince Powerule and the crew might have set some kind of record, having released singles on six different labels 1989 and 2017. A couple of years after their excellent Hydra Entertainment single ‘Dawn To Dusk’, the trio released another winner on Dolo Records (owned by Stretch Armstrong and a dude from Atlantic Records).
The Stretchinator played this early version of ‘Well Connected’ on his radio show in 1996, back when he was working with the Tragedy and CNN and lot, so he may have hit NORE up for a solid at time to do a guest spot. By the time the record was released, ‘P.A.P.I’ had either upped his appearance fees or the suits at Penalty just decided to be jerks, as is often the wont of music industry big wigs.
I’ve also seen this listed as a remix of the original, but the 12″ came out in 1997 and this was a year earlier so…
