JVC Force lyric mystery finally solved, thirty years later

All these years I could’ve sworn that the line was ‘Like a video game, in Elenor’s computer’…

I also thought that Schoolly-D’s DJ was called ‘Cold Money’ at one stage.

What’s the worst line you mis-heard for years before finally coming to your senses?

  1. On Diamond D’s “Sally” I thought the opening line was

    “I knew this girl named Sally, whose tits were exquisite”

  2. Also, I thought that the DJ in Lords of the Underground was called “Fluid Arm” as I mis-heard the opening line on “Psycho”.

  3. It’s got to be the hook on ATCQ’s Electric Relaxation! For years I never new exactly what Tip was saying after… ‘Relax yourself girl…..’
    Never in a million years thought it would be ‘Please settle down’

  6. The line ‘Who needs a band when the beat just goes boom!’ from It’s Nasty by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five is without a doubt ….Who needs a bear in the big Tescos. Boom!

    I’m sure, in The Ultimate III Live the guy says “I’m Mighty Mike, Some people call me Steve!”

    “in other words computer”

  12. Billy Bill was the Brains of this group!!!! Anything positive goes to Bill when it comes to this group. He wrote their lyrics, was uncredited for their beats and was the hardest worker by far in the group.
    ALL CREDIT TO BILLY BILL!

  14. For years I thought the last sentence of that Wu Tang Forever intro by Poppa Wu ended with the words ‘… And muslims suck’, which seemed like a weird statement to make after 5 minutes or 5%er knowledge.

    Years later I figured out it ended with ‘… And muslims sons.’

  15. Cam’ron’s line on 8 Iz Enuff: “Rappers are funny like Fletch, ’cause they sex and say they slaughter, son”

    That bugged me for years. I forget now what I used to think he said, I just remember the surge of revelation when I discovered the correct line.
