All jokes aside, EPMD are effin’ legends who had an incredible run of four classic albums. Here’s a collection of slightly tweaked ‘Club Mixes’ and complete remixes from when twelve inch singles ruled the world but were usually a luxury beyond what I could afford as a young bloke.

Such a Classic pic!!!! Always wanted this one to hang up in the room back in the days!! I hate that EPMD’s history is so fucked up…they are HIP-HOP Icons and really should be celebrated more!! SALUTE!!!!
Lets talk about the poster, who is the dude with the belt? And who is rockin the soul glo jerry curls in the back?
We gotta find the lost tapes on this franchise. Im sure there are way more gems than these.
dude with the belt is DJ SCRATCH as far as i can remember
It’s K La Boss, their 1st DJ….
Thanks for this! Alot of classics on here!
@$yk: Nice of them to let him hang around after he got replaced by DJ Scratch for that album.
EPMD always had great remixes; with all the expanded reissues over the past so many years, it’s absurd that EPMD’s catalog hasn’t gotten the lavish treatment they deserve. And Business Never Personal has been mysteriously out-of-print for around 20 years or more now. Possibly their best album?
Although not this era I bought a pmd records letterman jacket of eBay few years ago with ‘skip’ embroiled on the front – asked the guy selling it for the story behind it got crickets so I’m assuming something sketchy- anyone know who skip could be let me know ha
Lol…but too late for the press flix…I forgot how K La Boss fuxed up too
Great work Robbie. Opening with a “re-rapped remix” of Give The People gets my respect.
K LA boss did return for E&P’s last album We Mean Business. Also he goes by DJ Four-Five now as I watched an old ep of Rap City the basement….
Big up for this Robbie, big EPMD fan here.
Brothers from Brent wood is dope
@Robbie @$yk
No, that IS DJ Scratch. This is from the “Unfinished Business” photo shoot. K La Boss was long gone, and Scratch won the DMC belt that year or the previous year. There’s a closer shot of EPMD/Scratch on the cover of the “So Wat Cha Sayin'” 12″.
U right about the 12″…
Love EPMD but no love for DJ SCRATCH! !
Dj Scratch chasing those tranny’s just like Mister Cee.
I’ve just been listening to Business Never Personal over past few weeks when I work-it’s a classic album (Business as Usual is my 2nd fav of theirs). Wish I could find radio mix tape from summer of 92 w/ Brothers from Brentwood LI
Yep, that is Scratch with the NMS belt, the year he won.
K La Boss (now Four Five), was only around for their 1st album.
Then he DJ’d for Craig Mack.
I don’t remember Scratch ever entering DMC (could be wrong though).
Shouts to K Solo, with the Bad Boys top on…
Brothers From Brentwood L.I.is one of my top 10 EPMD bangers.
EPMD fan for life, over here…
@Blitz
You’re right, it was the NMS. My bad, I always get them mixed up, lol…
That’s DJ Strach in the picture. He was the 3rd DJ at that point. Diamond J was EPMD’s first DJ who they mentioned on their first single It’s My Thing and You’re A Coustmer.
Peace Robbie, I hope you don’t mind me sharing this link here but I thought that the EPMD heads would appreciate it.
