Bronx bomber extraordinaire Minnesota has provided the Money Boss Player crew with many a superb beat over the years, as well as contributing classic tracks for the likes of Sadat X, Big Pun and Ghostface. I don’t know much about him beyond his discography, so let’s just let the music speak for itself.

Great post, Robbie. I’ve always loved Minnesota’s production. Luckily I own just about all of his production catalog on Vinyl and CD…
“World Go Round” by Naughty By Nature is STILL one of the most beautifully rugged beats I’ve ever heard in my life. Definitely put Minnesota on my radar as far as producers I checked for in the 90’s.
YES INDEED…. He is also one of the illest producers on the mic…Maybe one day we will get that “Diamond District” release….SALUTE.
He didn’t produce Brooklyn Kids.Organized Konfusion did that. He did the b side Funk Soul Sensation with the Johnny Guitar Watson flip.
@Eric: The EP credits say otherwise::format(jpeg):mode_rgb():quality(90)/discogs-images/R-437021-1113294990.jpg.jpg)
I didn’t know he did Beat The Clock. Makes sense, there’s a Tre Bag version as well, that got taken down. Been looking for the song ever since.
Eric i think you’re wrong. Not only do the credits on the 12″ say the opposite but so does every discogs listing for every medium of it.
Love Minnesota and Money Boss. Some of the ruggedest rap shit ever made, and ages well imo
I stand corrected, my bad
I think Father Time actually did “Walk Like A Limp” though…https://www.discogs.com/Money-Boss-Players-Walk-With-The-Limp/release/460224
And he DEFINITELY did “Brooklyn Kids”…one of my favorite tracks ever. Just perfect. OK did “Funk Soul Sensation.”
Can u do one on Nick Wiz?
Anyone have a name or link to the one he did with Tre Bag with the Beat The Clock beat?
Supreme thanks for this one. This joint is gonna stay in rotation for many moons
Good post
What about this?…https://youtu.be/JfozGwE3rQU
Close Edge, Mos Def
I’d say Royal Flush should be your next one
