Fun fact, Robbie: Timberland, The North Face, and Jansport are all under the same corporate umbrella. One-stop 90’s Hip-Hop shop.
Still love that Y2K album.
Not sure about more deserving but I would love to see these albums celebrated.
Nah Robbie, Reasonable Doubt has been classic since it came out. Jay Z had a slow burn on it but it simmered throughout the entire year since it debuted. You probably weren’t in NY or the middle-upper East Coast in 96. But RD was definitely playing heavy during that time. Y’all just hate what Jay has become. Dude was on fire in the streets back then.
@RBI: You’re right, I was too busy listening to The War Report and Hell On Earth to notice.
Haha, we listened to those joints too. NORE was hot in 97. That “Bloody Money” was THAT shit back then. CNN was a good cousin to the Mobb. “Godfather Pt 3” is my wild out in the shop joint.
Good snark, I respect it, lol.
It should have read ‘wild out in the whip joint” … autocorrect is a pain sometimes
I literally could name over a 150 albums better than reasonable doubt. Such an overrated gimmick album.
