I think Hov has another in him, just needs the proper motivation. As far as the one producer idea, Hov should step out of his box and go gutter, The Alchemist…
No please no! He shoulda retired after the black album. No mas porfavor
A few weeks ago I revisited Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 and was surprised at how bad they’ve held up. I remember liking both when they came out in ’98 and ’99 respectively, but neither has stood the test of time. Minus 3-4 songs on each, most of the production sounds cheap and dated and overall very thin.
Granted, that was an era where artists wanted a bigger piece of the pie and were tired of giving their publishing away to bitter old codgers who didn’t respect what they were doing. It was an early stage of sample free production and it shows. A lot of it sounds like tin cans and amateur chords, what you’d expect from somebody who was messing around with a keyboard and software for the first time.
Of course he has. His 2 guest spots are better than all Meyhem, Action Bronson, Troy Ave, Joey Badass, Spit Gemz, etc… NY is dead…
lol Vol. 2 and 3
RD, Vol.1, BA, KC, AG, BP3, MC – the rest is trash
dude needs new goggles I know that.
Has McDonalds got another burger on the grill? Has KFC got one more scabby chickenwing in the fryer? Can the sausage machine crank out one more sausage? Of course Jay-Z has another album in him and it’ll be as overhyped and instantly disposable as the last one…and the one before that…and the one before that…. Never rated Jay-Z as either a live performer or a recording artist. I can’t stand art that wilfully pursues the lowest common denominator and which always seeks to get away with the bare minimum.
Almost his catalog is trash cept’the preamp joints
Co sign what Caesar said. Those late 90’s/early 2000s NYC albums are terrible. The Ruff Ryders/Puffy shiny suit era. It kills me when people act like vol 2 Hard Knock Life is a highlight of Jay’s career.
But onto the original question of course Jay has more albums in him. It’s what he does. Now whether they’ll be any good or not is another story.
Most overrated rapper outta Brooklyn ever. He should have retired after ” Blue Print”. Never liked his albums or songs.
As long as I live I will never understand why people dig this Clown so much.
Biggest Backstabber in the history of Hip Hop Music.
NAS DEADED Joe Camel. He should have hid his head in the sand after he got Ethered.
Is there no such thing as a sell out anymore??????
He black balled so many NYC artists from getting AirPlay because he knew they were all way doper than he was but couldn’t afford to PAY for AirPlay.
Jay Z co signed all the lil Wayne’s and Drakes. He singlehandedly killed Real Hip Hop.
Jay z is to Hip Hop what George Bush is to politics.
