What. The. Actual. Fuck? Mr. Freeze is able to get not one but two verses out of Mr. Maxwell in 1993 for what I can only assume was a giant truck full of loot. Fortunately he refused to don a cowboy hat, ride a horse or carry a pitchfork around, unlike the rest of the cast. On closer inspection it turns out that Jazzy Jay co-produced this abomination. Come back Sir Mix-A-Lot, ‘Square Dance Rap’ is forgiven!

There’s no way Dante Ross was OK with this. Puba must have gone behind his back.
Wtf, a little bit of marley symphony, the rappin duke, and straight up cornyness.
Banjo music has no place in hip hop.
It’s a good thing nobody caught wind of this back then, could’ve easily ended his budding solo career.
Dude can actually rap, though. Still, the premise is corny.
Same banjo sample from Special Ed’s ‘Hoedown’.

Jazzy Jay produced a FEW joints from the full-length. ‘Bout to check for it.
Sadly Pubas verses are pretty dope but I don’t know what the fuck was going on with the rest of that song. Who and where exactly did Mr. Freeze come from?
I have never heard this before. Didn’t miss much…
Im with oskamadison.
I actually just listened to dude’s album. Literally the whole thing is produced by Jazzy Jay, with some help from the artist on a few cuts. The video single notwithstanding, it’s not bad for the time. Probably on the level of a Strickly Roots.
Yikes. Totally missed this one back in the day; probably wouldn’t have seemed quite as corny in ’93.
WOW…. There ant to much that gets by a Veteran B-Boy like myself but WTF!!!!Yeah i missed this one and I’m probably one of the Biggest Puba fans there is, Yeah i agree with most of you cats it wouldn’t seem so wack if i would have heard it back in 93..
With a better loop this song probably goes, lol.. I bet Jazzy Jeff has a crazy remix to this in the stash..

The white girl in this vid is an old class mate of mine, Rubella. After this she went on to have a long and illustrious crystal meth career before settling down with her half brother and selling used car parts from her front lawn. To this day she can be found recounting tales of when she met Grand Puba and still had all her teeth, some of which she now wears on a banjo string around her neck.
Pubas album 2000 was the biggest fail . I used to be a fan since masters of ceremony.
MOC album, was so dope, i can rock it today. Those drums were dope as F.
I could listen to crack down in full blast and repeat, the bass is so crazy good.
The whats the 411, pre biggie and bad boy, was classic. Till today im waiting for a sequal.
Whether the “Susanna” Song is Dope or not, most of you need to do your Hip Hip Homework. Mr. Freeze is a Rap-Pioneer and was a founding member of the legendary Jazzy Five MCs from the Bronx/NY. The Jazzy Five were formed in the Mid 70ties. They released the legendary Song “Jazzy Sensation” in 1981.
This one song > Reasonable Doubt album
This isn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I wouldn’t be surprised if Puba wrote the whole shit.
If you listen close enough you can tell Puba wrote the whole song.
I definitely didn’t notice it back then though.
