– It regularly includes click-bait headlines such as ‘This video of ______ rapping at _____ will give you chills.’

– It’s ever posted a trailer or behind the scenes footage for an upcoming rap video.

– Features that are just a collection of Tweets from rappers, under the guise of ‘Rap Twitter Reacts.’

– Entire articles based on pure speculation and a single Instagram photo.

– News stories constructed of nothing more than recapping a Twitter ‘beef’ between two rappers (or, even worse, two Instagram ‘models’).

– Recycling the same retrospectives to Biggie, Pac, Big L, Big Pun and Dilla every year while dozens of other important rap figures are forgotten about altogether.

– Wild speculation about subliminal disses on rap songs that only exist in the writer’s imagination.

– Use of the term ‘best thing you’ll see on the internet today.’

– Constant lists like this.

They post the same upcoming artists that are attached to already well known artists, have their own sound stage at concert fairs, charge you to be on their site or stick your song/video somewhere in the site that no one can find unless you actually do a search but then claim they support you, wait til well known artists say your name before they decide to post/support your music, start their own label and claim it to be a game changer, never pay Amy real homage to the past generation unless someone passes away, don’t do interviews, stay showing clips to a night time show they obviously have ties to and the list keeps going.
