Just saw this advertised on Facebook. Does anybody know what the final track titled ‘Unexplained’ is? I’ve read elsewhere that this was the alternative name for ‘Swordsman,’ but since that’s listed as well it must be a totally different song…

Liner notes didn’t match the actual music on those early Wu releases so I always assumed that was the case here.
I never knew which titles went with half the songs on Liquid Swords cos on the back they werent in order, it was a big run on sentence composed of the titles. Both “Unexplained” and “Swordsman” were on there iirc, Ive the cd version though
Unexplained is the skit that proceeds the song Liquid Swords.
It’s listed as such on the retail copy.
Track #1 Unexplained/Liquid Swords
and by proceeds, I mean, precede.
@Boothe: It’s not listed on my vinyl version but it is on the CD booklet, although it says ‘Tracks do not appear in order’? Where is your pressing from that has it before’ Liquid Swords’?
I’ve seen this mentioned before, there never seemed to be a track by that name on any release.
My bad.
My MP3 is listed as such, so I always assumed that is how it was listed on physical copies.
Guess this investigation is still open…
Good lord
Is it even certain that swordsman is the title of “the g o d the g o d”? To me , swordsman, unexplained, and hells wind staff are all mysteries. Odd how thus track order is neither the CD order nor the order listed in the CD.
This matches the inside CD cover listing rather than the back cover “story”
Word@Norm. I always found it hard to comprehend that “The GOD” was givin’ the title “Swordsman”?
Yeah if anything unexplained fits better. Anyway the guest credits dont jive either. Maybe g.o.d. is different and unexplained, swordsman, and hells wind staff are all lost.
I would hope hell’s wind staff sounds is the same or similar to the joint with the same name on wu tang forever.
Maybe Geffen thought if they named a track The G.O.D., with another track already called B.I.B.L.E it may confuse some listeners into thinking it was a Christian rap album.
It makes sense kind of if two of the titles are the film snippets at the start and end of the lp. Has no interviewer asked him this in 20 years?
hells wind staff versions are probably as similar as tha next episodes
“Unexplained” isn’t listed on the Chess Box Set reissue so it must be a skit like Boothe mentioned, I always found it odd that such a crucial and classic solo Wu member album had such a messed up track-listing.
the so-called “unexplained” track doesn’t actually exist. hilarious that 20 years later people are still trying to figure out a track order for a 13 track record with 15 tracks (i.e. 2 don’t exist) listed.
Yep I got this promo cassette outro track is B.I.B.L.E.
