I’m not sure about Rae’s new album tho. The song with Akon is trash and the three other songs he released that are rumored to be on the album are super meh. We’ll see.
It’s about time someone had the guts to say 12 Reasons was/is BORING AS FUCK?! … I like UGOD’s Keynote Speaker and A Better Tomorrow … What’s real is that people only value a Black Man at two stages in his life : When he’s Young/Dangerous and again when he’s Old/Magic! .. Nobody gives a FUCK about the art/thoughts of middle aged Black Men …. ‘ Mega Philosophy ‘ is what it sounds like when a regular man has self respect/ self esteem ….that shit ain’t on NOBODY’S so-called 2014 Rap Lists …Fuck Em!

It’s over lets face it anything good Wu related in the last few years wasn’t even from the core members. Killah Priest, Hell Razah, and Timbo King made the best Wu related projects in recent years.
Inspectah Deck just dropped a pretty dope album Cynthia’s Son. Lot of tracks with nice samples that bring it back to traditional Wu! Robbie you should amend your article to include this album since INS is definitely a core WU member.
Truth be told I wasn’t expecting much from the new Wu album.. Bulletproof Wallets prolly the last Wu-related album I enjoyed, and how long ago was that? Also, it surprises me that so many people think that Raekwon’s OBFCL2 album was dope because I can’t remember not one joint from that, but thats just me
@DJ Blendz: I’m the same way with OB4CL2. The only song I remember is Pyrex Vision, and that’s just because of the beat (Marley Marl?). I want to think it’s because my tastes have changed or something, but better thinking is facing the reality that Wu stock has declined. Nothing is forever save the legacy.
@bboycult Mega Philosophy is some truth. I’ve been loving that
Lyrically, I liked ABT. The production is the problem on this joint as well as 8 Diagrams. 36 Seasons is bustin’ ABT’s ass. Mega Philosophy was indeed a good plate of soul food.
