I only pay for PHYSICAL copies as in Vinyl, CD’s and Tapes. And I feel that if an artist TRULY believes in his or her work, they will make their music available on ALL formats, or at least on a fuckin CD when it comes to a physical copy. What do these artists do when they have shows… don’t they have a merch table set up and assuming they do, shouldn’t they be selling their music? I mean, what, are they gonna sell a download card??? Cuz that would be LAME AS FUCK!! Again, if you’re an artist and you actually believe in your work then make sure to press up AT LEAST a fuckin CD.
And if you can’t press up at least a CD then I simply say FUCK YOU and FUCK YOUR MUSIC!! It is what it is…
Vinyl forever!!! Motherfuckas don’t even put out 12″ singles anymore to whet dudes’ appetite (No homo. Am I doing it right?) for the album?!!? What part of the game is that??? Or rather, what happened to that part of the game???
Esto, 12-inch singles still exist, but there literally seems to be only a handful released every year? The Yancey Boys have a current 12-inch single out on Delicious Vinyl and so does Blu on Redefinition Records. What seems to be a lot more popular now are 10-inch singles and 7-inch singles…
Yeah, only a handful a year, if that. That’s what I mean, Wicked. I don’t even remember the last 12″ I bought. All this digital shit is fucking up hip hop for me.
