I can’t agree that he’s the greatest of all time. He’s accomplished a lot, but rap music alone? Haven’t listened to him since ’93, and all of his movies and show suck. More like the greatest sell out of all time, hey at least he’s filthy rich.
I stopped caring for LL Cool J and the music he made after the Mr. Smith album in ’95/96. And I think its fuckin HILARIOUS that he titled his new upcoming album “Authentic Hip-Hop” when we all know damn well there wont be anything authentic about it. And how the hell does he get DJ Premier and Marley Marl to produce tracks for this new album only to have them included as some lame i-Tunes bonus tracks? *shaking head*
These days I enjoy seein LL on NCIS: Los Angeles. haha

Last decent joint that LL had was that ‘no airplay’ track ..when was that? back in 96/97?
@lou.. that “No Airplay” joint is from ’95 and the Dirty Version can be found on the Promo 12″ with the censored version appearing on the Mr. Smith album from ’96. I love that joint as well! There was also Marley Marl featuring LL Cool J “Haters” from 2000, but from what I know, the vocals were from the earlier 90s. That song was from Marley Marl’s HIP-HOP DICTIONARY album which only came out in Japan.
haven’t bought a james todd album since mama said and don’t plan too, but that year of the hip hop (from 93-94) joint uncovered a couple of years ago was hot. his next lp will crack wood if he’s lucky, his relevance is long over now and he should concentrate on acting like ice-t (reading ice-t is collecting beats for a new lp…ughhh -_- )does.
Canibus may not have ended LL’s $$$ career, but he definately helped end LL’s respect streak.
Not to sound like a hater, but i hope the Rock n Roll hall of fame skips out on LL. He had a long career by simply not knowing when to leave. That shouldn’t qualify you for the spot or a place in longevity. He overstayed his welcome. Nuff said.
