After a few people requested these, I thought it was only right to share a couple of Grimm burners which weren’t included on Scars and Memories. As Brian Beck from Wisconsin correctly pointed out, this version of “Emotions” was reworked for the CD for some reason, so here’s the original 12″ mix for those of you who missed out on the Dolo release.
Dj Eli, who’s produced some quality singles over the years and gave us the enjoyable Cloudkickers Remix vinyl, cooked-up two versions of “Landslide” for this essential Fondle ‘Em platter. To be honest, when this dropped I was in awe of the incredible “Tick, Tick”, which was re-recorded for MF Doom‘s Operation: Doomsday, so I didn’t pay “Landslide” the atttention it deserved. Initially, I preferred the more conventional guitar licks of the original mix, but the thick layers of delicate piano and upright bass found in the remix really grew on me. Verbally, MF dominates proceedings as usual with a sinister confidence, making for another cruical Reaper composition.
MF Grimm feat. B-1 – Emotions [12″ version] (Dolo, 1996)
MF Grimm – Landslide [Remix] (Fondle ‘Em, 1998)

That Landslide remix has allways been my favourite Grimm track and Eli’s best beat. Superb. In fact I think those two there are his two best tunes. Nice to have them on the computer.
Look mom..i got my internet handle in bold on the front page of Robbie’s blog !!
Agreed 100 % on the entire second paragraph.
I really do wonder why they messed with the “emotions” beat when the original was already perfect.
MADRE DE DIOS!
love this one…never heard of it…
WEW!!!!
The Landslide remix finds its way into the mix every week out at the spot.
Awesome
Now does anyone have a good quality rip “International Rules” with Fatman scoop? I got it off Crooklyn Cuts d but the quality is poor
Alex: I’ll try to post “International Rules” when I get a chance.
Brian: Word to internet handles/Blog Nom D’ Plumes.
Eli’s double vinyl Cloudkicker’s remix LP is real ill. Fat Beats released it in 2001. if you can get your hands on a copy, definitely peep it.
