So the other night I was watching a Seinfeld re-run to grab some more essential fashion tips from CRC style icon George Costanza, and lo and behold – the next thing I see is America’s Greatest Postal Delivery Guy aka Newman bagging up a stack of wax at an old fella’s apartment with a Cold Chillin’ twelve inch at the front of the pile! Not sure how I missed this previously, but it got me thinking that it would be great to identify which Juice Crew single got airtime on Jerry and Larry’s money train.
Youtube was no help, and even my attempts to legally purchase an ‘HD’ version of the episode (‘The Old Man’) through Amazon and Microsoft bore no fruit, since apparently only citizens of the U.S. of A. are eligible to purchase this old TV show digitally. The only option for us antipodean folks appears to be signing up to a steaming service called Stan, so kill that noise. It then dawned on me that even if I had a better quality screenshot, the camera is so far from the record label that even watching it in 8k or whatever we’re up to now may not solve this rap riddle.
I’m just going to take a wild guess and say it’s…Craig G’s ‘Droppin’ Science’.

In the UK, Seinfeld can be purchased through iTunes or streamed via Amazon Prime Video if that helps?
conclusively can say “Have a Nice Day – Shante”
Just a friend-biz markie
I recollect Jerry singing the song…..newman & George (“friends”)…..and I do remember biz doin an Oscar party for seinfeld’s crew…..plus the song is crossover love for a bunch of jooish geeks in 90s nyc….
Yo Robbie, I’ve got a Seinfeld nerd working on your problem. I told him there’s a bottle of Jameson waiting for him with conclusive evidence. Your shout… 😉
The winner is, so far…
Definitely seems like a Vapors guy.
The suspense is killing me…
I’m gonna guess G Rap and Polo’s Truly Yours…
Could be the rare Ain’t No Half Steppin remix that fetches $200+

Wasn’t the old man in that episode a racist asshole? What was he doing with a Juice Crew record?
Nubian M.O.B., they prob grabbed some shit out of the dollar bins for show
I’d say it isn’t Nubian M.O.B. Forgive me for deferring to Discogs, but it looks like their only single in the classic sleeve was “Hey Y’all”, which has the Relativity lowercase-R logo on top of the Cold Chillin’ graphic, unlike the record pictured.
