Thanks to YouToober OGDonNinja, five previously vaulted tracks (that sound like they were recorded closer to the Live From Acknickuolous Land sessions than Da Sequel 3) have recently surfaced. For longtime fans of this Philly trio, this is manna from heaven.
‘From Da Giddy Up Pt.2’
Perhaps this is how the second LP was going to sound before they chose/were pushed into a smoother, more radio-friendly angle?
‘I Get Minez’
EST flexing over a James Brown loop? All is as it should be. Note the shots at former manager L.G. on the outro.
‘It’s Like That’ feat. Larry Larr and Kwame
The ‘Game Type’ loop, a shout-out to Ultra and a guest spot from Da Wizzard of Odds is a sure-shot smash in any era. I’m guessing this was recorded around the time they did ‘My Ace, My Pal, My Partner’ for Larry’s LP, which came out in ’91.
‘Who’s Side Are You On?’
Following the social commentary of ‘Increase The Peace,’ EST takes a well-aimed shot at the hypocrisy of the music industry and artists who ‘sing about lollypops and gumdrops.’
‘Freestyle’ feat. Larry Larr
‘Freaky Tales,’ Philly style over the loop first heard on ‘Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy.’ Even Chuck Nice and DJ Woody Wood drops rhymes on this!
Bonus: ‘I Get On You MC’s’
As featured on my new Demos comp, the uploader claims this is from the nineties but I’d wager it’s from the Original Stylin’ era based on EST’s voice and delivery.

Ackniculous!
Wassup i never found a of theirs that can even come close to funky dividents. Sorry fellas 1…
WOW good find… 3XDope 4 life!!!
dammit, all of that is that pure uncut…chuck nice had some beats and EST is criminally underrated
Serious, serious article. Thanks to OGDon for sharing. Any labels thinkin of putting this out properly done in 2017?.
‘I Get Minez’ sounds like its been recorded pitched up a tad to my ears. As does ‘Freestyle’ ?
On I get on you MC’s ES uses the hook he gave to Beyonce for “Baby Boy”
@E: Good pick-up. Guess it’s a lot newer than I thought.
They both got it from the hot stepper..
