Great post Robbie & I for one salute Sadat X.
I saw him perform at the Jazz Cafe a few years back & the way he continued to rap between songs was amazing. He is the epitome of a super skilled rapper. I am sure he has a lot of natural talent but I am also sure that he did his 10,000 hours.
Dot X, BANG, rock the house, POW, c’mon and help us turn it out!
Derek Murphy is a hip hop Legend he is keeping conscious hip-hop alive and in these perilous days that we live in the black community definitely needs his voice to be heard, I will be copying his new album and to all the heads out there that really really care about Hip Hop y’all should buy that bitch 2
If y’all haven’t heard yet. Cop that Agua lp by Dot X out Now. FYI Sadot blessed the Buze Bruvaz with bars on a track called 100 proof. There is a remix done by philly producer Gos. Salute the God when you see him Sadot X
WE USED TO PLAY “SIX DEGREES OF SADAT X” BACK IN THE DAY. TRY IT THIS DUDE IS AT THE CENTER OF THE CONNECTIVE TISSUE OF THE RAP UNIVERSE.
Does anyone not appreciate this guy? Gets said every time his name is mentioned but Sadat bought his own style that no one has been able to emulate.
still razor sharp and you forgot to mention his wine hustle!
His wine line was mentioned, Public School Whitey. Great write-up on a champ, Robbie!
I loved his work with brand nubian!
He is definatly a figure in hip hop, got that good voice and flow.
but i cant appreciate his solo efforts. He aint no busta coming off the lons, and having hugh success.
He should have put his efforts in forming a new group or molding fresh talent.
For the fans, sorry, its my opinion…..
‘Sign my name with a dot’!
Has anybody else ever noticed that Chapelle bit Sadat’s style for Sir-Smoke-A-Lot?
HE AIGHT..AND WHILE KRS IS CURRENTLY ON SOME DUMB SHIT HIS LATEST ALBUM IS PRETTY GOOD (YOU ALWAYS THROW JABS BUT CAN’T GIVE CREDIT OR A LISTEN)..
@TYBO2020: Are you talking about ‘Now Hear This’ from last year? The one that featured a dude called Peedo? Yeah, I listened to it.
YEAH THAT ONE..HE RELEASED A ‘DELUXE REMASTERED EDITION’ WITH 2 WHOLE NEW SONGS..LOL..

you can’t get more progressive (for his time) than Sadat X
One of those distinct, indelible voices of hiphop like Q-Tip, AZ, and Guru.
He was one of my style icons back in the day. Always dressed fly.
