Now that we’re halfway through 2025 and I’m still standing firm on my refusal to start a podcast or any other form of multi-media ‘content creation’, but I still wanted to try something new (no, not effin’ IPA). Rather than actually push myself to learn something new – because who has time for that crap, ammirite? – I decided to double-down on just writing again.
Having been enjoying the email deliveries of Byron ‘Bol’ Crawford’s Life in a Shanty Town newsletter, I was a little late to the party realising that newsletters are pretty good if you can’t be bothered and/or forget to login to this site once every once in a while…or ever. Not to mention that having to write something once a week, as I did for the No Country For Old (Rap) Men column for Acclaim magazine over the course of five years, is a good way to keep up the habit, as it were.
