Since this was published in 2004, at least half of these have been re-issued in 2LP format – but with mixed results. Sometimes the labels will just dump the CD master onto two platters, rather than mastering it properly, if the comment section of train-spotting, audiophile sickos on Discogs is to be believed.
The real tragedy is that even with the recent Critical Beatdown re-release, the second LP is all of the bonus tracks so we don’t get to benefit from any three songs per-side luxury. Even things like the first Tribe Called Quest album doesn’t benefit, as I played ‘Footprints’ on my beaten-up old version on one deck and the 2LP pressing on the other, only to discover that the single LP was a bit louder?! Turns out you have to track down the bleedin’ UK ‘We Can Get Down’ / ‘Clap Your Hands’ EP to get a version suitable for public airing in your local speakeasy.

Done by the Forces of Nature. 8 tracks a side for a record that has a bunch of bangin’ party tracks. Neither loud enough or considerate of your mildly boozed DJ.
Replace that mostly wack Black Star album with Kid Capri’s The Tape.
@Barry: You can finally get a proper 2LP version of that album, worth it for the title track alone.
@TM: Great call. They may as well throw on the ‘Jokes On You Jack’ remix as well.
The ‘96 UK version of Stakes Is High has been pressed on double vinyl though..
@Rockin’ Roger: The scan is from an American magazine so I guess they weren’t up on the one.
