The otherwise forgettable sophomore album from Terminator X contained a pretty good late-era Whodini song and a great Brag Rap demonstration courtesy of Strong Island resident Melquan (aka Mel Quan Son Slaughter the Ghetto Beethoven to his friends).
While ‘Krunchtime’ got some b-side shine on the flip of the ‘Under The Sun’ single, it turns out it also got top billing on a promo 12″ which two new versions of the track, complete with different raps (cheers to @Delsoulcondor for putting me onto this).
As you might reasonably expect, the ‘Lost His Mind Murder Mix’ pitches up the beat for a more homicidal, expletive-laden rendition that brings extra energy but lacks the finesse of the original. The ‘Choirboy Church Of The Rhyme Mixx’ introduces the wafting horns that were so essential in ’94 rap, while Melquan delivers another stellar vocal performance.
After that, all we heard from dude was on some Wreck League Wreckords promo CD’s, which appears to be one of Chuck D’s side projects that didn’t come to fruition.

Good post. His best work can be found on Mistachuck from 1996, not Hyenas In The Desert. From memory, he did 3 or 4 verses on Mistachuck, all solid. Dope voice and delivery, check…
Say word- the best song on that LP hands down….The first Terminator and the Valley Of The Jeep Beats was pretty ILL, but the second one fell flat unfortunately…
Salutes
I still have that Under The Sun maxi-single. Melquan bodied that joint…
