There was that Biggie verse which later turned up as a song with Black Rob with the store name references muted (‘Jeans and Sneakers’), and of course this pristine snippet of prime-time M-O-B-B which I now have on record because some madman decided to bootleg the entire Doo Wop & Tony Touch – Starring As: The Diaz Brothers mixtape on 2LP because why the fuck not? I’ve never owned any Avirex clothing but I’m assuming they made enormous ‘butter leather’ jackets.
Mobb Deep we’re definitely some of Avirexs biggest supporters. From what I’ve read Avirex was a big thing in Queens in the mid & late 90s.
Avirex was definitely big in Queens in the 90s.. the shop behind LaGuardia CC was a hot spot in NYC.
