The whole Jadakiss debacle was one thing, since he’s no stranger to questionable musical choices, but I’m lost for words after watching the first minute of Kool G Rap and Grant*’s video. For the last ten years or so, many veteran rappers have been forced to do work for hire features with unworthy customers, whether offering their services for $500 a verse on Myspace or hawking their raps on Twitter. It’s painfully clear that the lack of benefits in the music industry have forced some of hip-hop’s legendary lyricists to rhyme for the highest bidder, regardless of talent.

Should Jadakiss Have His CRC-Approved Status Revoked?
While the CRC certainly doesn’t approve of some of Jada’s beat choices over the years, “The Champ Is Here” is still in regular rotation over here and the dude still raps like it’s 1996 (in the best way possible). However, as witnessed above it appears that J-to-the-Mwua had a large truck full of cash driven up to his residence in Yonkers in order to do a feature with a young cracker named Lil Ty, who is either living out his Rap Life fantasies on his daddy’s dime or is the Germantown Philadelphia’s answer to the 2014 Eazy-E on the low low. If I were the raspy-voiced Warlock, I’d at least have emailed him the verse and skipped out on the video…
