Sir Menalik aka Cyclops 4000 aka Scaramanga aka Jabbar El aka Chewbacca Uncircumcised first made a name for himself reading out technical manuals on Dr. Octagon, but it was his Scaramanga material that really made an impression on CRC-minded rap fans as he delivered wordy jiggnorance over outstanding beats. Both versions of ‘Mind I.C. Mine’ are worthy of legendary status alone, as were his contributions to the field of Intellectual Noise Rap on the outstanding Cobra Commander CD. Here are sixteen of my favorite Menalik moments for you to zone out to. Here’s the interview that former Unkut contributor Keir Johnson did with him way back in 2005 to set the scene…
Download: A Salute To Scaramanga

Didn’t see this coming, Scaramanga’s style was unorthodox but dope.
Awyea, Scaramanga all day everyday
Robbie!!! (Dope) haha…a bit surprised to not see “Holdin New Cards” & “Group War 2000” on here though.

Oh man I forgot how ill that “Nautilus” chop on “Scorpion Prince” was…thanks fam.
Scaramanga is an unsung hero of rap
I copped a couple albums of his on wax because it was “underground” and Sun’s music was Crazy boring to me. Not saying he couldn’t rhyme but the shit was very bland.
Kinda shocked he had a following.
Thanks for this , huge fan of your work
Probably my favourite salute to mix since the Mighty V.I.C one
So we’re “salute”ing 3rd stringers now? What next? “A salute to Spliff Star’s postman?” “A salute to Afu Ra’s chiropodist?” “A salute to RBX’s neighbour’s dog walker?” Scaramanga is to Kool Keith what the urine of an RC drinker is to a freshly poured glass of Coca-cola. Obvious hyperbole aside,Sir Menalik/Scaramanga’s music aint that good. Worse than actually being wack, it’s just mostly instantly-forgettable. Each to their own (one man’s poison ‘n all that) but some rappers are underground/obscure/slept-on for a reason.
@Dino: Both versions of ‘Mind I.C. Mine’ would suggest otherwise.
Too fully appreciate something like Scaramanga, you have to get dusted.
I personally like most of the music that he recorded but I can understand why some people don’t like his music he is definitely an acquired taste
