Damn your writing gets better and better, this one trumps em all and brought a tear to my eye…even more of a reason to hate russel and rubin. Touched me too because yesterday i happened to get my Whodini fix on after a very very long time…Im always saying what a masterpiece and swan song It All Comes Down to the Money is..one of my all time favs, fuckin classic. No reason at all why Larry should be suffering like this
Tremendous article. I thought I was very familiar with his production credits but this gives me a whole different appreciation for this LEGEND.
Great article. Is there a place where we can donate, I went to the Facebook page but didn’t see anything? Thanks.
Indeed. Orange KRUSH was that Team! Larry and Davy!!!! Yo when people do their greatest producers of all time it fucking baffles me!
How can you say who the best producer is, when you have Not heard the best?????????????
Larry all day is in my top 2!!!!!! J Dilla fanatics never heard Orange KRUSH or Paul C or even K Def.
Keep schooling them Robbie.
Good work Robbie. Makes you realise what a cesspool the music industry can be. Innovators who paved the way for the many to follow, can be forgotten whilst talentless leeches and biters reap the money and acclaim.
And they got ppl thinking that Rick Rubin started the hip hop/rock genre. Great story and thank God for this site.

We gotta show more love to the OG. It never dawned on me that while Larry was doin'”Rock Box”, Rick (or Jazzy Jay if allegations are true) was doin’ “I Need A Beat” and “It’s Yours” and Rick wasn’t on it like that with the guitars yet. Damn, Russell couldn’t hold him down with his medical costs? Eye opening piece, Robbie. Salute…
nice write up Robbie. the hospital pics man!! its a shame he has to be like that. thanks for this piece, hopefully it gets out there. people need to know about these legends
Great piece, Robbie. Great read
Great article Robbie. Hopefully the piece will spread and Larry will get the donations he deserves.
Crazy……Russel, Run and Dee, and Whodini ant holding the brother down? Very disturbing…..I swear the music Biz ant shit. He has timeless classics under his belt…there’s got to be royalties WTF YO… I don’t know the details so I’m not going to jump to conclusions but this is very sad to hear SMH. Much Love Lerrry
This is a powerful piece shedding light on a man who is an unsung and forgotten hero of a genre i genuinely love.
Rest In Peace..Whodini classics all night :(
