DJ Quik and Kurupt came into town, so I wandered past to relive some 90’s LA rap action. The highlight of course was Quik beatboxing “New York, New York” for Kurupt, and his generous dispensing of booze to the front row while performing “Tonite”.

Kurupt is still the shit too, his freestyle skills are legendary. Also, Kurupt is with one ‘R’ big homie, lol. I remember the first time I met him with Nate Dogg (R.I.P.) backstage at the up in smoke tour and I was geeking out major on his skypager.
Damnit!
I just remembered it wasn’t a skypager, it was a Motorola 2-way pager. That shit was like a skypager on crack.
